What I’ve learned is that goals are good. We need something that keeps us going. We need to set goals. These targets are going to motivate us. They will make us want to achieve the things that we have set out to do.
Big question is how do we keep them. Plain in simple. We need Discipline. Many of us are afraid of this word because consistency forces us to do things that aren’t comfortable. It gets us out of our comfort zones.
But taking action is also choosing yourself in a powerful way. You decide to start taking steps to become the type of person you want to be. This is only done through taking action in doing the things we say we want to be.
Discipline will change you the moment you welcome it into your soul. It will show you everything you need to let go of and everything you should consider making time for. Discipline, will give you a sense of confidence only generated through your decision to become more and then acted upon. We all have many things we like to accomplish. Many of us never take the time to write those things out. Many do not know the impact it makes, because once you’ve written down your dreams, you will understand.
Writing down your desires and wants on a sheet of paper helps clear your mind. You become crystal clear on the target. Then the next step is setting a plan in place in how you are going to reach that target. I recommend smaller micro steps. Giant leaps are possible, but not sustainable. But smaller micro steps consistently and applied with an extended time frame will change the way your brain is wired. You will become someone who actively makes changes. These changes move you toward your dreams becoming a reality.
So, goals, they’re good. But without writing those on a sheet of paper, you lack clarity. Without the discipline to run after those goals, you are not just procrastinating. You are choosing the opposite and comfort.
Your dreams will cost you something. Time or money perhaps. However, it will cost you much more to remain stagnant. Instead, just put a timer on and give your micro steps 2-5 minutes a day. Watch the magic show up in your life. Watch the you that you’ve unlocked show up!
