And time goes on

Written By Cynthia Sandoval

The string the dance

The quartet we make

Of the three centuries ago

It’s agony I grieve

Because I just don’t know how to let you go

Somewhere in the minds eye

Deep in the state of the past and present

Make no mistake about the importance of being me and you.

If time were straight

It made its way through

For just a little while to connect with truth

But I tell you

I’m in limbo

I found something I can not find anywhere else

I found it within me

And you know what I’m talking and thinking about

Still though Time goes on. And yet it never moves

Nothing is new nothing

The older you get the less time with you I’ll have

But for now I’ll just have to wait

Until you close your eyes to awake

To me to you

To the truth

That what you see around you

Is only the lies you’ve been telling yourself to avoid the something better for you

Why don’t you see my friend ?

Why don’t you get it?

When will you come for me

When will you fight for it

I won’t have have to jump this time or have to make all the decisions

This time favor is on my side

You will have to wait for me

It my turn now

To see.

Yet again here we go, it will take another three centuries.
