Sometimes it’s hard to just get through our days without so much distractions. It seems like the moment I wake up I am already bombarded with thoughts to do all the things. I can’t remember when it was the last time I woke up really feeling refreshed to seize what the current day had in store for me.
Lately, I’ve been journaling a lot more. I’ve made it a priority to sit with myself to allow all these thoughts to come up, write them quickly and let them go. It has been rather helpful in my quiet time and I have already seen improvements in the relationships I want to deepen. I think there are many of us that are like this too.
We have so much going on, and sometimes we can really get stuck in our heads. I encourage you to take the day to sit with you first before everything and everyone else does to jot down all the things that are fighting for your thoughts, your focus, and your energy. It’s not enough to just say ” I am going to have willpower, and manage.”
For me I had to take action in a neutral direction to really begin to see the value in what my heart and head wanted me to see, read, and let out.
It helps us because their maybe things we need to gain clarify on, that is not always easy to understand when our mental state is always on with all the chaos of life. Don’t believe quiet time is overated, as you might gain something you’ve never been able to grasp before which was always there, yourself.
